January is when the winter blahs tend to set in. Many people want to stay in the comfort of their homes, or at the very least, inside. There is plenty of fun to be had indoors, though. Consider these activities and destinations as you plan your outings:
Bowling: Fun for the whole family, bowling can be an inexpensive way to kill a few hours. Some alleys even have cosmic bowling, which means special lighting and music.
Shopping Malls: You can always find something special for a friend, family member, or even yourself. If nothing else, shopping malls are a great way to burn some calories
Spas: Everyone needs some R&R every now and then. Schedule a massage, facial, pedicure–or whatever strikes your fancy! Just let go, and forget about the outside world for a little bit.
Movie Theaters: There are several friendly films in theaters now. Catch a matinee for a more affordable option.
Sky Zone Trampoline Park (Saginaw): Kids have a lot of energy, even in the winter. Bring them here for some indoor jumping fun! They even have adult programs!
Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum (Saginaw): This award-winning museum provides hands-on play and learning at the same time. Children can learn about everything from art to science–all under one roof.
Kokomo’s Family Fun Center (Saginaw): This indoor facility houses an indoor roller coaster, race go-karts, miniature golf, Lazer Tag and arcade games.
Quality Inn (West Branch): This place is so much more than just a place to sleep! Check out the “Atrium” where you can bring your snacks and go in the pool. Bonus: West Branch Outlets are right next door!
Spring will be here before we know it. Use this time to recharge and reconnect with family, and you won’t be sorry!
